Richard J. Sullivan Natural Area: A 36-acre state Natural Area consisting mainly of salt marsh, one of the few remaining tidal marshes of the Hudson River Estuary

The River Keeper The River Keeper
Eco-walks: offer a chance to understand the ecosystems and wildlife that inhabit our region. Eco-Walks are led by an experienced field naturalist and beginning birders are always welcome!
Eco-Cruises: Fun & educational tours of the Hackensack River and the NJ Meadowlands aboard Hackensack Riverkeeper's specially-rigged pontoon boats.
Paddling center:  Explore the river and the Meadowlands with a guided tour on one of the twenty-six canoes and kayaks.
 
Mill Creek Mill Creek Trail
Wilderness: At Mill Creek Trail, you can immerse yourself in an urban wilderness.
Wildlife: 260 species of birds use the area. Migratory shore birds can be found, along with a variety of waterfowl who use it for breeding and watering.
Rare Forrest: A unique feature of the Mill Creek area is the remnant of the white cedar forest.  A archeological paper done in the 1930s documented the extent of the cedar bog.
 
Audubon New Jersey Audubon Society
Bird and Wildlife Trail Guides: The New Jersey Audubon Society is working in partnership with the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission, The Hackensack Riverkeeper and the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce to create a new guide to wildlife viewing and fishing in the Hackensack River watershed.
 
PIPC Palisades Interstate Park Commission
Overlooks: Three lookouts in the NJ Section offer spectacular views of the Palisades, the Hudson River, and the New York skyline
Greenbrook Sanctuary: 165 acres of woodland on top of New Jersey's magnificent Palisades. 4.7 miles north of the George Washington Bridge.
Historic Sites: The lower portion of the park along the river, consisted of riverfront villages, the cliff top was either wood lots or the site of large summer estates.
